More than 300 people joined us at Allianz Field Stadium Club for our annual Sweet Success fundraiser on May 30. It was a real treat to witness community coming together!
Our impactful program featured remarks from Dr. Robin P. Hickman-Winfield, YWCA St. Paul’s Changemaker of the Year. We are honored to have recognized Robin for her leadership!
This was also the first Sweet Success event for our CEO, Ashley Booker, who joined our team in August of 2023. As Ashley said in her keynote speech, thank you for ‘getting on the bus’ with us as we embark on a journey to eliminate racism and empower women. Additionally, a number of other local and state elected officials and community leaders were in attendance all evening. We thank them for their support and leadership.
We were lucky to have Alexis Rogers, News Anchor for Kare 11, and Dr. Yohuru R. Williams as our emcees this year. Their energy and passion for our mission showed throughout our dynamic program! The music of Ray Covington opened and closed our event, and we can’t thank Ray and his band enough for their talents and entertainment at Sweet Success.
We are so grateful for our community support and the many ways we have, together, worked to build a stronger St. Paul community, making real and lasting change.
A heartfelt thank you to those who attended our first annual Black History Month Celebration event and helped to make it a great success! More than 125 community members came together to celebrate and honor the rich history and legacy of the Black community.
We appreciate you joining us in honoring the rich history and legacy of the Black community.
