The Milligan Studio is an international collaborative commissioned by Artists Respond: People, Place, and Prosperity to create an art piece celebrating the City of St. Paul’s People’s Prosperity Pilot.
The City of St. Paul enacted the People’s Prosperity Guaranteed Income Pilot Program in 2020 to help families that were already financially strained when COVID-19 hit. “Altitude” celebrates this program.
YWCA St. Paul partnered with Free Arts / Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Twin Cities to offer an Altitude Kids workshop on National STEAM Day, in anticipation of public art piece Altitude that will be displayed at YWCA St. Paul beginning December 7, 2021.
YWCA St. Paul will display an interactive art piece celebrating the City of St. Paul’s People’s Prosperity Pilot. “Altitude,” by The Milligan Studio will be unveiled to the public on December 7.
Timing is everything. Alison Lehman was in the midst of co-founding a women’s group at Securian Financial and seeking volunteer opportunities, when she was connected to YWCA St. Paul.
