Patricia Ogbeide-Ihama

With more than 15 years in human resources management, training, and business management experience strategically planning with small to large, diverse organizations, Patricia brings with her a passion to empower women and eliminate racism.  She is a certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and had held numerous positions implementing best practices in the human resources sector, including education, healthcare, and women advocacy nonprofit organizations. She has also worked with youth in her childcare, caring for and educating children up to 12-years-old.

Patricia played a key role in starting Building Equality Together (B.E.T.), now known as the Diversity Council-Rochester MN, growing equitable communities of respect, belonging, and inclusion. She has been participating in leadership roles in social justice issues since high school, advocating for diversity, equity, belonging, and inclusion; and was an instrumental volunteer at a women’s shelter.

Patricia served as an advisory council member of Bloomington Housing and Redevelopment Authority (HRA.) “Collaborating with marginalized women is very dear to me. There are so many women who are scared to have a voice. Being there for women and girls who have so much to share, but who cannot share their voices due to fear is intriguing to me,” she said.

Patricia received a certificate in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Workplace from the University of South Florida MUMA College of Business. She is a member of the Society of Human Resources Management and Twin Cities Society of Human Resources Management. She is currently the President of her Nigerian High School USA Chapter Alumni Association with a focus on mentoring and empowering young women. She is the Vice President of a Christian women’s organization in Minnesota, and a member of UWA Women’s Club of Chicago, working on issues affecting shelters in her hometown in Nigeria. Patricia holds a Master’s in Business Administration and a Master’s in Human Resources Management from DeVry University, Keller Graduate School of Management, a Bachelor of Applied Information Technology, and a Bachelor of Telecommunications from Saint Mary’s University.
