YWCA St. Paul would like to congratulate Tawanna A. Black for being selected by Twin Cities Business as their 2021 Person of the Year.
Black is the Founder and CEO of the St. Paul-based Center for Economic Inclusion. Founded in 2017, the Center for Economic Inclusion is the nation’s first organization dedicated exclusively to creating inclusive regional economies, by dismantling institutional racism across all job sectors and building shared accountability for inclusive economic growth. Black leads a team of people who offer consulting products and services to help businesses and local governments foster inclusive growth for all.
Earlier this year, Black spoke with YWCA St. Paul CEO, Gaye Adams Massey, about the Center for Economic Inclusion and the ways we can all advance economic inclusion within the Twin Cities. You can listen to that conversation here.
