Week Without Violence: How You Can Help & Recap

Week Without Violence is an extensive movement involving YWCAs across the globe. At YWCA St. Paul, we hold events, share stories, and advocate for victims and survivors as we work toward a world free of gender-based violence. We want everyone to know that domestic violence is preventable, there’s a way out, people want to help and there’s hope.

This week we shared information about gender-based violence and its impact on victims and survivors, their families, friends, and community. Take a closer look at the top six highlights from Week Without Violence 2021.

1. You can make a difference.

Week Without Violence is just the beginning. By participating in events like this and staying informed about issues, you help in the fight against domestic violence. Together we can continue the work needed to end domestic violence and make a better world for generations to come.

2. What is domestic violence?

A pattern of controlling behavior used to maintain power in a relationship by one partner over the other. Forms of abuse can go beyond the physical and be difficult to identify.

3. Employer domestic violence policy
