Little things can add up in a big way. Self-care kits—an assortment of personal care and beauty items—are especially important during Week Without Violence. It’s a time when we raise awareness and advocate for the accessible, effective, and consistent resources that survivors need to build the flourishing futures they deserve.
YWCA St. Paul is providing the self-care kits to program participants during a Week Without Violence. It’s a way to communicate how much we care and how our participants matter.
Twin Cities employers helped to create 50 self-care kits. A big thank you goes to the volunteers from Securian Financial for preparing the items donated by CHS, Kohl’s and Thomson Reuters.
“The kits are a way for us to encourage our program participants to take time for themselves because self-care is important,” said Michelle Lynn Daniel, Director of Development at YWCA St. Paul. “We’re grateful for the ongoing support of volunteers and corporate partners. Their generosity and support is vital to the success of our programs.”
At YWCA St. Paul, it’s our mission to eliminate racism and empower women. We’re here to help the growing number of women and families in need. But we need the support of the community to continue delivering the valuable services we provide. We greatly appreciate the support of Securian Financial, CHS, Kohl’s and Thomson Reuters.
