Fall brings thick sweaters, crisp leaves, and best of all, spooky season! With COVID-19, it is harder to have parties and enjoy many activities that make it (in my opinion!) the best season of all. With Fall, you get the best of both worlds – you get cold mornings followed by warm afternoons where you can sit outside and enjoy the changing colors. Also, it is the best season for apples. So, I have complied a list of fun things to do, while staying safe and happy with friends and family during this season:
- Attend drive-in movie with friends
- Visit a pumpkin patch or apple orchard with masks
- Host a bonfire
- Brisk walks to enjoy the changing leaves
- Bake cookies or pies
- Zoom game nights
- Among us
- Trivia
- Charades
- Schedule a scary movie marathon
- Decorate your room or house to fit the season
While fall is beautiful, days are also getting colder and darker. It is important that we keep or build a support system to sustain us through the winter months. As it gets colder, it becomes harder to meet outside and with COVID-19 still at-large and the annual flu season just arriving, we must stay vigilant to stay safe. The next few months will be hard but having the support of loved ones will make it easier.
Question: What ideas do you have for staying safe, healthy and happy as we enter Fall during a Pandemic?
