Dear YWCA St. Paul Health & Fitness Center Community,
As you saw in our recent announcement, the YWCA’s Health & Fitness Center (HFC) will begin its ‘phased’ re-opening on June 17th at 8:00 a.m. While this is positive news for our HFC community, we also acknowledge that we must all continue to be vigilant. We are taking our guidance from the CDC and the MN State Health Department to help protect the health and safety of our members and staff.
Some important new protocols and practices for you to note before arriving at the HFC.
- Our hours have changed. We will now be open during the following times:
- Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
- Saturday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Sunday, CLOSED
- Before entering the building, you will experience a new entry process. You will be asked to undergo a thermo scan to monitor body temperature, and if your temperature is 99 degrees or higher, you will not be able to enter the facility. We will also ask you some basic health questions (example: have you or someone you live with been diagnosed with Covid-19 in the past 2 weeks?).
- We will comply with State of Minnesota requirements by ensuring social distancing (6 ft between persons) throughout the building and limiting occupant capacity to no more than 25%.
- Masks will be required for anyone in the building (if you don’t have a mask, we will have masks available for purchase).
- Throughout the building, we have strategically placed Staff Cleaning Stations. These stations will be equipped with disinfectant spray bottles and towels for staff to regularly clean all high-touch surfaces with hospital-grade disinfectant.
- Hand sanitizing and cleaning stations will be placed throughout the facility with disinfecting products for members to apply before and after using equipment.
- Signs and posters will be posted throughout the facility providing guidance on safety measures and social distancing.
Membership dues will not be reactivated until July 1. If you are not ready to return to the HFC just yet, let us know by requesting an extension to your leave of absence. If you would like to access online fitness classes only, please let us know.
Our current plan for the phased re-opening, along with safety precautions, is outlined below. We may adjust these plans if CDC and/or State guidance changes.
